Buescher
Scandinavia
Adolphe Sax not only designed the saxophone, he also - of course - made the mouthpiece that would suit the instrument. The original mouthpiece is quite different from what later became the typical saxophone mouthpiece. The mouthpiece Adolphe Sax made is shorter and the inner dimentions are radically different having a large, almost onion-shaped chamber. In consequence the sound is different too; darker and with a very stable overtone structure.
Today there are a few available mouthpieces;
Rascher Saxophone Mouthpieces are made as exact copies of the orginal Buescher mouthpiece
Caravan Mouthpieces are in the tradition but somewhat closer to a modern mouthpiece
Original Buescher mouthpieces can often be found on eBay
There were several different models - The Mouthpiece Museum has a nice page on Buescher mouthpieces
