June 25-28 2015 Buescher Scandinavia is planning to host its first convention in Tromsø, Norway. The event will have the establishing of a Saxophone Orchestra as its central activity. The Convetion will also feature chamber music, workshops, master classes and more.

 

Who is this for?
The primary target group is saxophonists within the classical tradition, with an interest in the "Raschèr school" of playing and who also takes an interest in old american saxophones (our focus is Buescher – but there are many other good horns; Conn, King etc.). The participants are either trained musicians or young saxophonists who are aiming for a higher music education (Musikkonservatorier/Høgskola/Högskola) or prepatory courses.

 

Details

Prticipation is free (this is a con amore project).

The Music Academy of Tromsø has kindly provided rehearsal rooms as well as an accompanist (thank you very much!). So expenses will be transportation to/from Tromsø accomodation (plus food etc).

We believe that we will be able to arrange hotel accomodation for aprox. Nkr. 1.800,- (for three nights).
